Subject files, including correspondence, minutes, fund raising files, budgetary and other financial information, programming files, public relations materials, and printed matter, documenting the organization and activities of a voluntary association serving the Black community in the north side of Minneapolis (1966-1972). Formed in August, 1966 following the city's first serious racial disturbance, the association was formed by concerned Black and white citizens to forestall further violence and to provide more opportunities for the area's Black residents, especially in the areas of social and educational activities for young people, community organization, employment assistance, and health care.
